My name is Charlene Lewis. I'm an elementary school teacher. I'm originally from the state of Arkansas. I moved to Texas during my senior year in high school and graduated from LaVega I.S.D. After graduating from college, I married a Texan and I've been here every since. I have one son and four grandchildren.
I have been teaching for forty-five years. I have been at LaVega for forty-two of those years. I have taught school in Poplar Bluff, MO, Nashville, AR, and Hubbard, TX. I was retired for five years. During those retired years, I volunteered in the Emergency Room at a local hospital. In 2005, I decided to return to what I love to do and that was teaching math. For the past six years to present, I am the Math Interventionist for grade 5 at H.P. Miles Intermediate School.
